Marching and chanting in unison, the protesting crowd had made its way to the city’s parliament square.
A line of security forces now blocked their progress. Warnings were broadcast. Tensions rose.
The chant rang out again “RESPECT EXISTENCE OR EXPECT RESISTA…“ the chorus transforming into screams as the shooting started.
